haiku: rodent splatter film

flattened in seconds
fevered by cheese promises
but crushed underfoot

  1. The other morning I saw something that made me think of you. This reminded me. I wish I had got a picture of it now. It was a dead possum. In a plastic shopping bag. Someone had discarded it on the footpath. It was lying there, half under a hedge with only it's tail and back legs sticking splayed out from the mouth of the bag. I called the council that day and they came and removed it. Damn it! I KNEW I should have taken a picture!

  2. i knew you would see into the mouse clare.

simon, i LOVE that the dead possum in the plastic bag made you think of me. agreed, death in all its tortured & displaced manifestations is fascinating. did i ever share with you the KFC prank story?

  3. Lots of strange things remind me of you my dear. Was just rather strange you had a similar moment at the same time with a dead mouse. Odd synchronicity. Remember the days when you could email me any time of the night and I would wake up to answer. Only for your emails. I never did understand how that worked.

You never told me that KFC story?

  4. in another forum, at another time then.

PS. we need to continue our holography discussion. email is almost back on track [still mid-move & awaiting ADSL reconnection] so mebbe try me there. after next wknd i'm down to six day weeks so ostensibly will have a slither more time then.

  5. Ah, I thought you were just ignoring all the long, boring emails I was sending you :)

  6. Actually Keith, the owner of Galbraiths, was telling me about the ghost that is supposed to haunt there. I was trying to figure out a way of using a green laser pointer to project the ghostly image of a face onto one of the window panes from outside the pub that would be visible to people going past as a face looking out. That's kind of like holograms I guess.
